Belt conveyor systems are the most commonly used conveying equipment and is used to convey items with irregular bottom surfaces as well as loose materials that need to be conveyed from Point A to Point B, at a certain speed.
A belt conveyor consists of a metal frame with pulleys at either end of a flat metal plate or rollers, with a continuous loop of conveyor belt which rotates about these pulleys. One of these pulleys are powered. The powered pulley is normally rubberized to enable it to pull the belt, allowing the belt and material to be moved forward. The powered pulley is called the drive pulley while the unpowered pulley is called the idler pulley.
There are different types of belt conveyors such as:
materials handling conveyors which are used to move boxes along inside a factory.
bulk materials handling conveyors which are used to transport large volumes of industrial or agricultural materials, generally in outdoor locations.
commercial conveyors which are used in grocery stores.
Our modular aluminium conveyors allows for all the equipment to be fully compatible with each other as well as other products on the market, making it easy to modify an existing aluminium layout by slotting in or removing lengths of conveyors.
The following are a few examples of the different kinds of materials that can be conveyed:
